I have some pretty special QSWO loft over from a set of cabinets I built that I need to move. I will put it in the 3x12x24 flat rate boxes. This stuff is all old growth super tight grained with some pretty intense figure. Probably some of the best I have ever seen. This sample photo is some of the less figured stuff. I will post some of the more intense figured material tonight once I have a chance to run it through the planer. I have some that is wormy and a little that is not. The wormy seems to be the one everyone wants though. I was told this is called soft textured white oak by a Lumber dealer. I don’t know if that is true but what I can tell you is this isn’t like any other flavor of white oak I have worked with before. It is lighter, actually smells nice when you cut it and works almost like Walnut of mahogany with hand tools. I think I have enough for 6 boxes which will be 6 bf per box. The boards will be 4”- 8” wide and 23” long. The boxes are $50 shipped. If you can find this stuff which isn’t likely it is stupid expensive so that price is pretty cheap. I also have 5 additional boxes of straight grained Honduran mahogany the is 8-12” wide and 23” long. The mahogany has a nice rich red color when it’s finished. The piece pictured below is a piece I built with some of the mahogany from the same lot with a natural finish. These boxes are $40 shipped.
