Our daughter just had their second baby, so my wife and I are spending the week with them, helping out where we can. The almost-two-year-old and I built a sandbox. The cover (fully closed on the right half) folds open to a seat on each end (set up on the left). We used cedar deck material, with weed cloth to try to keep the sand from creeping under. Looks like I forgot to trim the weed cloth down. Tomorrow’s project.
Nice job and I love the cover. My neighbor built one for his kids, but balked when I asked what type of cover he was planning. Then his cat walked up and sat down to enjoy the afternoon sun, and watch the progress.
"It's a 4x4 sandbox, guess Cindy can sew a canvas 4x4 square from one of the tarps in the garage."
Jim in Okie You can tell a lot about the character of a man - By the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
My wife made sure early on that I understood there would be a cover on it...apparently her family doesn’t know that throwing cat poop at your siblings is just part of the fun!
