It has a very flat head, like a pan head but the top is flat, and very thin. Probably metric because the parts lists calls it a m27-1.5 inches long. The point if flat.
The screw is to hold a slider metal bar on a porch swing into an upright made out of Trex.

That’s my impression. A thick wafer head screw, for particle board.
