This is a huge steel plate, surface ground to flat, 11 5/8 long by 4 1/4 wide by 1 inch thick. IIRC, I bought it from someone here who had a few made to use with loose diamond sharpening. I only used 1 face, with 1 micron diamond, but ended up using a different method of sharpening, so the top ( 2nd photo ) has seen a little use but is in perfect condition, the bottom has never been used. I made a cheap poplar box to keep it in. It is like a kanaban that Japan Tools used to sell, only on steroids. It weight about 18 pounds, so the only realistic method is medium flat rate box. I am asking $25 plus shipping.
