Back hall is where the washer/dryer sit. Have to stack because space is too small for side by side(built in 1965 when units were smaller). Had to buy(order) new washer/dryer. Bought LG brand and the two were delivered already stacked(one boxed unit). Easy peasy, right?
Electric service for the dryer is original to house(3 pronged range plug). Socket is located to the right of the space/unit has to sit on the left. Connection for the cord on the dryer was top right(looking from the back)---literally as far away as possible.
Connected two cords(cut and solder) until I can get one longer cord.
Put in Prego flooring. Snap lock planks. Easy peasy, right?
Would have been had I started on the opposite side I did start. Got'er done, just took longer.
in 2002 and several years prior, I provided comic relief by having folks watch me get up off a mechanic's creeper. Now, in 2021, nineteen years later, getting up off the floor almost requires a crane.
New washer/dryer has electronic touch controls.
I'm still a knob and switch fella. Oh well, I know one thing. I will NOT be using the remote smartphone control app!!!!!!!!!
