I see tons of vises.. for sale on Craigslist and the prices are nuts. I thought maybe it was just my area but looking at tools in other locations they are nuts there too. I can understand maybe for a bullet type. Is there something that makes these old vices coveted. I just found a C Parker #22 in my dads old garage and it looks like any other vise. I did find their catalog on line so I know it’s old. Is it b/c of the made in USA. Thanks

I have not closely tracked vise prices recently, but a few years ago, when I restored this vise, I was amazed at the prices these top tier vises were commanding. Just to give you an idea, if I were to sell this today (which I am not), I'd probably list it for somewhere between $400 and $500.

I have had that one without the swivel base, on my bench for 20yrs now...Still good as new.. but nowhere near as pretty as yours!!!
