Are you not concerned that the inset panel on the top will expand and blow out the frame?

Might happen. It's a pretty small panel. If the miters open up I will fix it or remove the handle and make a new lid.

Didn't mean to point out a potential problem...it's just that I struggle with these questions. It IS a beautiful box and demonstrates several skill sets. Nice job.
