Molding joinery

    I need to make or buy some molding to make faux cabinetry on the front of the murphy bed that I'm building.  This pix scan may not be clear enough but how do you cut the ends of the stick to join up neatly?

I cope them but I make my own moldings 

You could miter them but it is pretty fussy work unless you lay flat fields and apply a smaller molding next to the fields.....

With a symmetrical router bit you can cope the end of the stick and it will fit the molded edges.  That's what I did on my arched French door project.  Here's a link to that episode:  Link.   The other way is to make jack miters, as Joe mentioned.  Those aren't all that hard either, and is what I used for this wainscotting project, and here's a link to that post:  Other Link.  This method is the only way I know how to do it without cope and stick bits if the molded edge is asymmetrical.
