I'm not sure where I bought them but I found files used for aluminum, single cut if I'm not mistaken, Can't find where I bought some years ago. They have a particular name, cut fast and leave nice finish  49 0r 50 leave rough surface but these file are quite good. If you are interested I can find out, I'm wheel chair bound.

Aluminum file is a vixen.

I found the files I used, they are called Vixen,for  car body work no doubt smoothing lead filler. They are superb and leave a smooth finish ready for sanding. here-s a link for buying www.yardstore.com/files/hand-files-vixen.html

go to boggstools and have your rasps or files sharpened highly recommended
