This is their Machine/Drill Press vise that preceded the Stanley version..Stanley later bought North Brothers and kept the name for quite awhile because North Bros. was famous for their quality. They made tools for The Bell System, a company that demanded the best in hand tools for their linemen and related fields..I see ten Stanleys for every one N.B. so they are rather scarce....This one is in outstanding condition and looks as if it has never been used {or if it was, the worker was very careful not to damage it with his drill bit}..The jaws are unblemished and close squarely..good enough for milling operations...It can rotate 180*..
Vise collection has been high on my collecting list for many years, but I am getting close to the point where I must divest myself of a few because of my age...You can use this vise, or you can add it to your collection, but if you ever want to sell it, you should have no trouble in doing so as they just keep getting more and more valuable...Selling it for $45.00 plus shipping..USA sale only, Paypal only..Thanks for looking..
