There's always that moment when they first see it...WHEW!

Very nice. Sculpting all three edges is a fine design adjustment which works well and gives the owner a sense of input on the piece.
Just because shooting fish in a barrel is easy, that doesn't mean there are some fish that should remain unshot.

I have to say that the top is beautiful but is wasted in that space IMO

Nice work. The situation of the homeowner not seeing it would have made me super nervous. I've done some custom kitchens before and know how some people can be sooo picky and demanding. I bet that'll lead to more work for you too.
