I picked up this nice Miller Falls at an auction yesterday.
It appears to have never been used.
The 3 bits are still in the envelope.
There was also a receipt from an Ace store for $5.87 from 2-16-49.

That's shiny crispy new looking. That money likely would have fed a family of four near a week in those days methinks.

Good point. Then, as now, good tools cost money, $6 wasn't cheap back then. If you do the google thing to find the buying power of $6 in '49, that's $60 today......
