Check out CPO Outlet for refurbished hammer drills. I got my Porter Cable for $50.
They offered free shipping on my first order.

For tile removal he needs a 3-mode rotary hammer, not a hammer drill.

There's a $110 Hitachi at CPO Outlets. Gets pretty good reviews both used and new.

The $134 Bosch Bulldog is probably a better choice.

little off topic, but i suggest some form of filtration during demo, too. ive been fortunate enough to have a window in the bathrooms ive tore tile out of and a fan in the window pulling dust out kept me and homeowners happy.

Well, me and the homeowner are one and the same. The small half bath won't amount to much. About 22 square feet of mosaic tile.
The larger full bath has a 4' high wall of tile about 12' long, about 6 feet wide and surrounding the bath. Plus the floor. It is the reason I want to buy and not rent. I don't think I want to tackle that all in one day. (Maybe not all in one month!
).
