I am working on getting them on the slippery slope and into the vortex both.  They already have the Sjoberg medium starter bench and a Shopsmith that I gave them. The hand planes are tucked away in my shop awaiting the day that they realize that they want them.

I am really enjoying this build. I am also using it to try to explain to the NIL the joy of using hand tools in a mixed shop rather than just doing it all with power tools. His eyes are opening slowly.
