Got the tables done and delivered, assembled and leveled.  I added walnut pads under the flanges for the feet. Customers are very happy and are now talking a round 72" diameter dining room table out of thick walnut. Learning curve with black pipe. Figuring out how to size the pieces to get a level top. Stripping the pipe of that black gunk (it is not paint) with Goo-Gone and acetone. And getting everything square when attaching the base to the top.

 
   

   


After I got the base pieces all figured out, cleaned, painted, and assembled, I found a 4 way piece that would have made that back stretch easier.

I did use some vandyke crystal dye to darken up the little bit of sap wood along the rear edge. Hard to tell there is any sap wood unless you look close.
