Instead of 9 numbers I used 9 different types of wood. Same rules. Only one of each type in each row, column and 3 x 3 square.

That's awesome! Can you give us a sense of scale? It would make a very interesting card table.

The box is 5-1/2" square. Individual pieces 5/8" square.
