Love your table—it’s beautiful.

I make wooden buttons.
It’s real easy and has never given me problems.

My method is similar to what’s in the picture in this link:

My buttons are made like the ones shown here:
https://www.woodmagazine.com/woodworking...e%20blocks.

However, I make a slot in the aprons as wide as necessary for expansion rather than slotting the whole thing.

Thus, it’s a combination of techniques from both approaches and I believe it’s the better solution.
