Dry fits, so far....

Mortise for the Center Stile to attach to the Top/Bottom Rails are done...

Mortises to connect the Stiles to the Lock Rail...done

A very TIGHT half lap joint between the Lock Rail and the Center Stile has been done, and glued up...

How tight?..

Ooops...

2 out of 4 Raised Panels have been fitted and the show faces planed smooth...and dry fitted...

Not sure where I'll sit that "Barky" Live edge at...yet...

If I can get to the shop, I can get the last 2 Raised Panels ready to go...and might even try to glue up Door #4....of the 4 door Set of Doors...

Stay tuned...

Well...this morning, clamps came off Door #4...

There was a couple spots that needed extra work..

The bottom corners, where the stiles attach to the rails...did not get glued all the way down....spread some glue into the open spaces...Visegrip padded finger clamps to clamp things down.

2 beads had broken off a while back....this morning, they were glued back in place..

A few of the larger gaps have been filled...awaiting the ROS's attentions...

Have both Door #3 and Door #4 to sand, stain ( Witch's Brew) sand, varnish, and sand a final time...

Waiting on the Boss to paint the Bathroom walls...BEFORE I go to hang the 4 new doors....bad form to have paint splatters on them...

Stay tuned...Tomorrow is going to be a very dusty day.....

Plus, I need to clear this mess off of my bench...

I think I am about done with most of these tools...

Doors #3 and #4...Both have been Stained, with a coat of Witch's Brew..
Door #3..

And set aside..

So I can stain Door #4..

Let both doors dry overnight...

So, turn a work light on..

Door #3..get one end varnished, rotate and varnish the over end...with a scrap 1 x2 between it and the floor..

Door #4 stayed on top of the Tablesaw...got one end and edge varnished....rotate around, and do the rest..

Will let these 2 doors sit for most of today...rub them down this evening...

Tomorrow?    Walls and trim in the Bathroom are getting painted ( without painting ME in the process) Colour is White...Brush to "cut in". roller with handle for the rest...might be an all-day affair...

Let the paint dry a day or 2...then come back and switch the old closet doors for these new doors....

Stay tuned..

A Work in Progress....

Old doors have been removed...took a lot of work...and..I was NOT very gentle about it...

2 New Doors have been installed...

The doors I built are square...the opening is not...

Letting me and the work clothes dry out a bit...and all the cramps to die down....still have the other 2 doors to bring up out of the shop...and install them...and, make a divider between the 2 sets of doors...

71 yr old legs do NOT like standing on a ladder for almost an hour...

Lunch break is almost over..time to get back to work...SLOWLY...

Hauled one door upstairs..and sized the divider...

Then...lost all use of my left hand...due to it being cramped up tight...

Try again tomorrow, eh
