Big Grin

Believe it or not, I kept the old TV in a closet that rested on this stand. Dang thing still operates flawlessly. I also kept the pull-out stand. I really have a hard time throwing away furniture projects that I build in the shop.

Here's another drawing I made to illustrate how to cut octagonal stock from square stock for lathe turning. The idea is to make an octagonal cross section to reduce turning time and chip waste:
Step 1:

Step 2:

Rip to width. Plane to thickness. Cut to length. Join.

(Parallels on Mac does the same.)  Plus you can keep a "snapshot in time" of your XP machine so if anything ever gets messed up, you just restore the file and you're good to go. You can keep the XP OS off the network too while keeping your Win10 online, for security reasons..

Thanks for your help I'm going to give this a try tomorrow. I'm sure glad I asked, have a great day.

After I retired I bought BricsCAD 12 which was a very comfortable step from Auto Cad of the time. It's far less money (lifetime license), just as good if not better than ACAD. And, no AutoDesk virusware. Don't worry, they are quite compatible dwg-files (both ways).

All is good now up and running thanks for your help
