I had a couple of pear trees come down a few years ago and I was able to save some of the wood for turnings. I found it to be a lovely wood to work with. You did a beautiful job using the wood to it's advantage and the bubinga color is a very nice contrast. I hope you have more so you can do it again.

I can't believe I missed commenting on this. That is one sweet little box. I always enjoy box projects and posts. You can do all sorts of things with the form.
When I was young I sought the wisdom of the ages.  Now it seems I've found the wiz-dumb of the age-ed.
