Working at finishing up the platform bed project I started a while back...just drawers to go, nine altogether.
The drawers on my wife’s side were made of 1/2” Baltic birch, using the quarter-quarter-quarter system on the table saw. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_Z3pMyNPfi0
Got them done almost fast enough for my wife.
For mine, I’m using 1/2” pine, hand cutting the dovetails. Two of them are done—photo below. It’s been a while since I cut dovetails, but it’s going fairly well. The first one was a little gappy in some places and required some chisel work to get them to fit in others. Grabbed a file and touched up my saw, and it made all the difference in the world. The third box went together 100% off the saw.
I’ll post some more pictures of the process as I build the remaining drawers.

Dave Arbuckle was kind enough to create a Sketchup model of my WorkMate benchtop: http://www.arbolloco.com/sketchup/MauleSkinnerBenchtop.skp
