Has anyone (here) put a Wynn 35A on a PSI DC2000? I'm interested in your experience.

I put one on last year. I also have a thein baffle. I made a doughnut out of MDF. I put a groove to set over the edge of the DC to help seal. It has been working well for me.

I have one. I think it fit fine without needing a donut. Has been working great for a few years of hobbyist use. Would never go back to bags and when this one wears out I'll order a replacement from him.

One thing I'd recommend - include a Thien baffle, Jet wok shaped metal dome - - some sort of separator in the funnel of the D.C. I started out with just a Wynn filter and it got more planer chips and dust in the pleats than I cared for. After adding a Thien baffle I get virtually no larger chips and not much dust in the pleats of the filter. Well worth doing IMO.

There's some information on the Wynn Environmental site.

I also added an internal baffle while I had my ~8 year old DC2000 ripped apart. It was all pretty straight forward though quickly found out it wasn't actually round ![]() ![]() Additional pictures on flickr if anyone is interested in doing something similar. |
