I used Shellac on the two I made. I am going to have to buy the forstner bits and extenders again. I know everyone does not put a finish on the inside.
I have a few new types I would like to try.

I use oil polyurethane or lacquer. after many different hands handle it I want to be able to clean it well/kill germs

Like Woodshop said, wipe on poly or rattle can lacquer. And we expect pics.
