I just found out this morning.
Pierre Raymond has died. He is the author of numerous books on marquetry. Taunton Press published an English translation of his book, "Marquetry" many years ago in the 80's. That's when I first heard of him, and learned many valuable lessons about marquetry from his writings.
A sad day for woodworkers worldwide.
