I know people say the adapter isn't great with the slower speeds of the shaper, but I had to have it anyways and got one off ebay. I put it in the shaper, but it doesn't go in far enough to have the key way, of the adapter, engage the key in the machine. I e-mailed the seller to see if he had personally used it and to get his feedback and he just said to send it back and nothing else. The adapter is 43-800, anyone have experience with it? Is it supposed to engage the key or do you just tighten it by using a wrench on top and tightening the nut underneath?
Thanks, Bob

The 43-800 is for the newer generation of Delta HD shapers. It has the long taper. The older generation uses a short taper.

The newer style with the long taper

The older style with the short taper. 43-824 is one stock number Delta used for a router bit holder.

There are two styles and it is apparent you have the wrong one for the shaper you own.
