..turned out well. The third is in the garage after I walked away for the day. see 'you got to know when to fold them' thread.



This is the result of the post a couple weeks ago asking how to make a hole bigger than my biggest Forstner bit. I used a rabbeting bit after drilling.

My oldest daughter runs and they get ribbons and medals and such. I made her a display for them. J-hooks from Lee Valley, letters from Amazon. Got the maple while culling the $2.50 a BF stuff.





Hangs on a French Cleat. Finish is some water base Trans-Fast Reddish Brown, seal with Zinnsners and gloss Zar.
I'd originally painted the letters with various acrylics but didn't like the overall effect. I'll give her the paints if she wants.
