Amazing. He sized everything by eye. Never used calipers.
Plus he started sanding with 80 grit. I guess he doesn't feel the need to brag.

I have watched several older turners (Dennis White, Keith Rowely to name a few) from the UK and Ireland who were marvels at all tools.
Each of them encouraged other turners to get to know each tool and what the strengths and weaknesses are and what they are capable of.
I have done that with the bowl and spindle gouge and now working on the skew.
I can use a skew pretty well but not like them.
