I bought a small box of bits at a yard sale yesterday. Today, I'm going through the box. There's 24 of the same size bit, NOS. All F.Walter, England and approximately 3/32". Nineteen have the rounded cutting tip and five have the cutting lip (sorry, don't know the proper terminology).

Looks like "fluted" tip bits; old school, like the Yankee push drills. Very cool.

Well, larger ones are used in your brace to drill holes for chair making-think starting a hole at 15 degrees off vertical, easy to do with a spoon bit.

The ones without the lip are shell bits. The ones with the lip are nosing bits. Those are an awesome find. Congrats!
