With the old WoodNet software format, we used the Photobucket "IMG" share link pasted directly in our posts to add photos to our posts. This no longer works with the new format. Instead, use the "HTML" link. Copy and paste it directly in your post, just like you did with the "IMG" link. Your photo should appear in the post as it always did.

If you post the entire HTML link, viewers can click on the photo and be redirected to your Photobucket site where they can browse freely. Boatman was kind enough to post instructions for modifying the HTML link to prevent it from giving access to your Photobucket site but still adding the picture to your post. Here is his post:

<img src="/ssl_proxy.php?url=http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f343/hankknight/image_zpsgxwxcgjx.png" border="0" alt=" photo image_zpsgxwxcgjx.png"/>

Paste the entire HTML link into your post, then delete everything to the left of the first emoji and everything to the right of the second one. This leaves text beginning with "<" and ending with ">". When you modify the HTML link in this manner and include it in your post, the photo should appear without the link back to your Photobucket account. THANKS BOATMAN!

Glad to share but as I said without my son's know how and internet savvy I couldn't share it. I'm going to miss him this fall when he heads off to college.

Move to Flickr.  You can post without any gymnastics, check out the Test Pic thread linked below and the method described to me there by Rob Young.  Works like a charm, very easy.  Flickr is free just like Photobucket, I have accounts at both.

Just click on the "Direct" link and past that into the image dialog box.  Should work.  Works for me.

I don't get the photo with Direct Link. Only the link to Photobucket shows up.

The few times I have tried to post pics from photobucket it works just fine by left clicking on
the IMG box on the right side. When you do so, it goes yellow and says "copied."

Then you just "paste" here. For example, I just now copied this in another window:

I love how the Harbor Freight bench brushes are ubiquitous.  Great value.
