The sequence where he's slicing thin sheets of veneer from the marquetry block is just stunning. It says so much about the skill of the craftsman, the care of his tools, and the precision in which it's all done.

Try that term on a google image search. Popular in the Near East. While you're at it, Google "Tunbridgeware" I think it's possible that many forum members may never have seen the traditional craft of Tunbridge Wells. This is Tunbridgeware. What you see is a picture constructed of little tiles of end grain, just like what the man in the video made. |
