Finally made something again

I haven't been a prolific as I used to be, but I just finished this gift and thought I would post a pic.  It is purple heart and white oak.  No finish, just buff polished.

Very nice!  I love purple heart, but always end up with some inevitable tear-out I have to deal with.

There was a bit of tear out, but it polishes out fairly well.
