I cope them but I make my own moldings
You could miter them but it is pretty fussy work unless you lay flat fields and apply a smaller molding next to the fields.....

With a symmetrical router bit you can cope the end of the stick and it will fit the molded edges. That's what I did on my arched French door project. Here's a link to that episode:
Link. The other way is to make jack miters, as Joe mentioned. Those aren't all that hard either, and is what I used for this wainscotting project, and here's a link to that post:
Other Link. This method is the only way I know how to do it without cope and stick bits if the molded edge is asymmetrical.
