First up are two block planes, a Stanley 60 1/2 and a Millers Falls 56B (virtually identical to the Stanley). Both have the large machined area for the iron, typical of the older version of this plane. No cracks or pits, both will be good users. Millers Falls could use a little black paint. This is one of my favorite planes; I have an LN and a Stanley with a Hock iron. IMO if you only have one block plane this is it. Stanley is $30, MF $25. With the cap removed these will fit in a small flat rate box @ $6.80.

Millers Falls is on left or top in pictures. Both have brass knob. Perspective makes is look like cap iron is on crooked but it is straight.

Next is a "true type 1" Stanley 113 compass plane for parts or restore. April 18, 1876 patent date on iron which is correct for plane. Missing is the cast handle and a small screw and insert for the cap iron. this could easily be made. If you look at my recent post in hand tools section regarding "mystery cap iron" you will find in the reply a link to beautiful pictures of the true type one and can see clearly the screw and insert that is missing. No cracks or problems with the sole except for a small area of light pitting. Lots of valuable parts if someone can use them. $49 + $13.45 shipping

Next is a Stanley Victor #20 Compass plane. Lots of missing nickel, otherwise good example. Tight sole, no cracks. The 20 was by far Stanley's best compass plane. $89 + $13.45 shipping.

And another Victor #20 for a user or parts. Cast frame was broken and brazed in three places. Appears to be a solid repair. Very nice cap iron. Good tight sole, no cracks. $49 + $13.45 shipping.

What is the difference between the 113 and 20?  It looks like they are the same thing but the 20 looks nicer and older?
As of this time I am not teaching vets to turn. Also please do not send any items to me without prior notification.  Thank You Everyone.

It is always the right time, to do the right thing.

Arlin,

I am no expert on these compass planes but if you go here http://www.supertool.com/StanleyBG/stan3.htm you will find a lot of info.

I sent you the 113 on the 25th, you should get it today.
