Every year since 1994, Ebay has had a challenge for founding members.
Not that I actually help start the company, but I was one of it's first members.
I have been there ever since.
Anyway, they have this challenge every year and the prize is $25,000 worth of merchandise that you get to pick.
So, when I was informed I was this year's winner, I picked exotic lumber as my prize category. I didn't know that Ebay also had a secret category prize on top of the challenge prize.
That just means they pick a secret category, and if you choose it, you win double the original amount of the gift. The only catch is, you have to spend all the money in just the one category.
That means I won another $25,000 of exotic lumber on top of the original prize.
Pretty sweet huh?
So, all day today I've been picking out stuff like Satinwood, Tulipwood, Amboyna burl by the slab, every single exotic, really outrageously priced wood you care to think of. I got a ton of Curly Koa Burl too.
All I can say is I'll have enough exotic stock to turn until rapture.
I can't wait for it to start rolling in so I can show you guys.
