This vise has a much useful feature in that it is designed with a Universal "ball mount", which means it can be adjusted to the ideal angle for sharpening, unlike most of Sargent's competitor's vises...Once you use a ball mount, you will understand how useful this feature is...This one is in great shape and ready to go to work...Remember, as I have said many times, if you take care of a vintage tool, it will always be worth what you paid and only increases in value as time goes by...unlike most "new" tools......America needs to start making tools like these again!!!!
