A couple of worthy tools, bargain users as you will see from the descriptions, take your pick at $38 plus shipping.

First up is a Stanley #12, Sweetheart vintage, plenty of original SW blade; now the bargain part:  someone in a past life drilled holes in it and attached a wooden sole, which by the time I got it, was spent; they also opened the mouth a bit, which will not affect use but it was done.  So there are four holes in the plane; otherwise, it all works as it should, sole is ok, clearly a user plane not up to my usual standards, but if you're hankering for a #12 and on a budget, this one is for you.  Pics:

Next is the #5 1/4; this one is barn fresh, as found; also a T15 SW vintage with the orange frog; plane is sound, no metal cracks, wood is also good with no cracks; plenty of iron, which is a replacement (and I like this as it says the plane was successfully used a lot); otherwise all original and correct for type.  Sole has some light evidence of rust; this will lap out pretty quickly.  I don't find many of these and they are great planes to have in the till, so given the apologies I still think its a worthy plane, again SW vintage with fully machined frog, I like these sweetheart planes. Clean and sharpen her up for another 88 years of work. Pics:

First PM with an unequivocal "I'll take it" gets priority, and please include your shipping address so I can quote postage and print up a mailing label; I don't have paypal, so payment by USPS money order please, unless I know you from the forum, then checks are ok.

Sound tools for users priced reasonably.  Thanks for looking.

I was either told or read that if there are holes in the bottoms of a 12 then that might be the rare 12 3/4 one.  I have two others just like this one with the holes in them and do not think it was drilled by anyone but manufacture.

I have multiple buyers lined up for both planes, just awaiting confirmation on shipping details, so these are sold.  Thanks to all for looking.
