I'm in SE Wisconsin and I'm looking for a lunchbox planer to convert to a jointer. I'm going to be following the method (sort of) as seen on Woodgears.ca.
I really only need a cutterhead (bearings would be nice) and motor.
So if you have a unit sitting around that is unusable for some reason, I'd be interested in buying those parts if you're willing to tear the unit down and ship.
If you're in SE Wisconsin I'd be willing to come buy an otherwise defective unit if you think the motor and cutterhead are usable.
I have been watching craigslist and continue to do so. Hard to find units that are busted but with a working motor/cutterhead.
