This is a nearly unused 16" Jack plane. It has a boxwood start button as well, which is not that common.

Jack planes were workhorses and when you find one they are typically used to death. I am not exaggerating that this plane was not used more than once or twice and then stored in a nice dry place.

There is some relatively fresh chipping on one side of the wedge but it is otherwise really great. Cheeks are in perfect shape.

The plane is 2 7/8" wide.

I sharpened blade and it is working very nicely.

Absolutely stunning, great find.  Whoever snaps this up is getting an absolutely great deal on this plane.  You hardly ever find 'em in this condition, go price 'em here and you'll see what new ones cost (with a 6 month or more wait too):
