Need help on stem casters. I have been asked to make a work table for a gal in a wheelchair. It will be about 28" wide, 20" deep, and 24" tall. That is a small table that dictates lightweight legs. I would like to taper the legs to ~1" square. She wants on wheels so plate casters are out. Anyone out there had any experience installing stem casters in a minimum amount of wood?  Obviously I'll need the casters before tapering the leg, just not familiar with the procedure. Don't even know my choices.

Cup casters might work better than stem casters.

If you decide to use stem casters, the tips of the legs could be reinforced with brass or chrome leg caps (ferrules).
