Modular Block Walls

I'm using modular concrete blocks as the perimeter blocking for my raised paver patio.  As part of the design, an interior wall will intersect an exterior wall (a tee).  

Given the 8x12 inch dimension of the blocks, what is the proper way to tie them together without messing up the running bond?  Or is it even necessary to link them together?

Thanks, though I'm not sure if cinder block layout applies in this instance.

Cinder blocks are generally 8x16 and allow for easier layout when corners and intersections are involved.

We are authorized contractors for one of the major block companies.
Have done more than a few 


Always tie in the intersecting walls 


A couple of ways depending if both walls are the same height or not.

A full intersection with the tie in  wall facing through the main wall.

Another we have done is to tie the intersecting wall in but only tie in 3/4 or so in.
Cut the face off of a block in your pattern and apply it in front of tie in.
Then another full block on top to cap it off, all being glued together.
