A great use of hand tools to build a canoe.  The videography is first rate, with absolutely no talking to drive you nuts.  If there was anything I was disappointed about was the quick clip of working inside of the woodshop.  I wish they would have shown more of the interior. 

There is an entire series of the Northman on YouTube and the things they build are fantastic.  Young folks who seem to have a complete grasp of how to utilize a lot of differing hand tools.

That was my observation, too.  But he did 'J' stroke so he knew how to paddle.  The racers here in the 70 mile Clinton Race switch sides after a number of strokes.  They look like machines
