Modular Workbench ?

I think someone here had a post a year or two or three? ago about a modular workbench that could be reconfigured for different work and clamping situations.  I think the top sections were torsion box construction, but I don't remember for sure.  Anyway, if this rings a bell could you point me to that post or author?  Thanks very much.

Were the torsion box top sections supported by two sawbenches?

If so, that might be A WORKBENCH ANYBODY CAN BUILD (Forget What You Know About Workbenches) by Joshua Finn

Thanks Mike. I found that article last evening. I think what I'm looking for is different, although I could adapt his basic approach. I like the torsion boxes but I want the bases to have adjustable height. I could use something as simple as rectangular boxes that could be flipped to give 3 different heights. I definitely like the modular concept and want the whole thing to be easily moved so I can put it where needed and also store it when not, although I recognize how stuff has a way of becoming permanent once you start leaving things on it. I'm hoping to avoid that though now that I'm moving the wood out of my shop and into the shed. I already can see daylight and am excited to just have open space again. I was smiling yesterday when I needed to joint and plane some 8 ft long stock and didn't have to move anything to do it.

That's pretty close to what I remember seeing, thanks.  I really like his open torsion box type construction and all the holes he put in the top.  I'm less enthused about the saw horse bases, but his concept will work with a different base design just as well.  I'd also probably go with 3 torsion boxes 16 inches wide rather than 2 at 24" since most of my work can be handled with 32".

Don's Barn Blog-spot has done some iterations on torsion box workbenches and mobile. http://donsbarn.com/toolapalooza-penultimate-prize/  The bench is randomly commented on....

I had found an old article by Bob Lang in Pop Wood/ Woodworking(?) that had leg box frames of variously dimensioned length so they could flip and support work or I-beams cut from the same plywood sheet(s). The utility was very attractive, but storing 8 foot trusses and a couple open frame boxes was not a true space-saver.

I've had a massive bench with two sets of massive legs leaning around for a couple years looking for space--it's getting there--that will do the job for me. I just can't pick the tops up. There have been too many years of living out of cardboard boxes....

Was it the MFSC?  Multi function Shop Cart?  Google that.  It does alot of things.  I'm thinking about building one myself.

No, but that's a nice system, just not what I'm looking for.  

As a refresher from my first inquiry, what I remember was what someone here had built and IIRC it had at least two torsion boxes as the top.
