If any of you are in the Las Vegas area this week, the AWFS Show is going on and well worth the trip!
It is not nearly as big as the IWF Show in Atlanta, But is still a real industrial woodworking Show.

You will see cool stuff that will blow your mind if you have never been to one of these shows.

I will be doing demos all week in the MicroJig Booth #7849. Be sure to stop by and say hello!

I checked a couple of nights ago - after midnight - and it was still 98 and going to 107 the next day!  That just wouldn't work for me.

Well, yeah, but as they say, its 'dry' heat!!  I'm with you, but if you believe that dry heat chit, I've got a bridge in NYC to sell you.

I spent a lot of years in San Antonio before going to LV for a few.  Different kind of hot, but I don't remember feeling any more uncomfortable.

Fortunately, the convention hall is air conditioned.

The hotels/casinos are as well, but unfortunately they are the last place in America where you can smoke indoors.

We had a good show, but I am happy to be going home.

Aside from not being a gambling person, the smoking is one other reason I won't be going to Vegas for any reason.  The whole idea of Las Vegas just never really appealed to me.  Glad you had a good show, and thanks for the posts about Classic Woodworking.  Maybe my PBS station will pick it up some day.

I'll bet.  Been to Las Vegas a couple of times on business; never for a vacation.  Going home was the best part of my trips there.

While you might find it different due to the nature of your business, for me, business travel is always a drag, and the location makes no difference.  Conference rooms and airports look the same in Hawaii as they do in North Dakota.
