Shocked
Just read a post on another forum that claims Stanley has rolled up production of their porter cable line of routers .
Confused

Anyone have verification of this.    Stock is low or non-existent at places I checked.

The pictures and specs maybe.

Try and buy one from the links on their site and get back to us.

I wonder how many 690's have been sold over the years?

I saw that post about them being discontinued. The thing is, the PC routers of today are not the PC routers of yesteryear. Won't matter to me if they discontinue them.
I started with absolutely nothing. Now, thanks to years of hard work, careful planning, and perseverance, I find I still have most of it left.

Agree, late model ones really dropped in quality. I have two 690s that are 20 years old and they are still going strong.  I wouldn't buy any PC branded tools made in the last 6 years or so.  Won't be missed.

I can get a 690 from Amazon in two days for close to $400.    Think I'll get a pair of them just in case

I have a PC 690 that I bought 20 years ago; it came with a D-handle, plunge base, and benchtop router table.  It was one of the first woodworking tools I bought.

I have no earthly idea why I would want another Porter Cable router with so many better options out there.

Stanley has destroyed the PC brand.

They'll either sell the brand off or just close it down.
