Is this company still alive? I can't find anything on the web other than the full product for sale.

I have the 18-36 miter gauge and the stop pin knob snapped off. I have an ugly fix that I do not trust and want to buy a replacement part if I can. Anyone know if parts are available? Where?

This is their website (according to Fine Woodworking):  www.jdstools.com

However, when I tried to access it, I got a "server not found".  So I am thinking they are out of business.

Well, that’s how far I got too. Yet it seems you can still buy the gauge on Amazon so somebody is still making them. It’s puzzling they have no web presence.

I found a post from 2011 that said

No idea if the number is still good.
Probably not since
www.thejdscompany.com
looks to now be a web design company.

Pretty sure JDS has folded.

I know for certain their dust collection products are gone.

I called the 800 number shown above and it was JDS on the other end. Turns out that even though they stopped making the gauge 5 years ago, the knob and pin I had broken was one part they had and it is on the way for $31.

Kind of amazing that they stopped making the product FIVE years ago yet you can buy it on Amazon....

Great news!

I hope that the parts arrive safely.

That's encouraging.   What are they making these days ?

The guy answered the phone “hello”, which sounded like one person who bought the parts inventory and is selling them out of his garage. He was courteous and even made sure I knew how to adjust the gauge with the new part. The return address was Air Tech Filters or something, sounds like JDS is no more.

As of today (September 7, 2021), the person on the other end of that 800 number (Airtech Filters) is still selling the replacement stop pin to those of us who shear their knobs off in, ummm, "gravitational events" that spuriously occur in a workshop. Thank you for contributing to this thread!
