I recall a thread about motorized windows a while back; search didn't find it. A friend asked about this for a woman with arthritis, for whom operating a casement or even a double-hung would be challenging. Remote control would nice, but I think they should also have a hardwired switch and an override for when the power goes out during a sudden storm.
I do not recall seeing operators except on skylights, so any additional information and or experience is helpful.
