Danish oil HELP

I put danish oil on a segmented bowl gave it 90 minutes and wiped off the excess. 6 days ago and it is still tacky. Walnut and maple with ebony top ring. What did I do wrong and how to fix it without remounting and turning it more. Fairly thin already.

Try wiping it down with mineral spirits (paint thinner). That should remove most if not all of the undried oil. I'm guessing the danish oil was old. Suggest you get some fresh or use something else.

Next time, keep it wet with product while it's on and wipe all of it off after 10 - 15 minutes.  Don't let it set up before wiping.
