Shoot bolt question

Hey guys, it's been a real long time since I've been here.
I hope I'm using the correct term for the parts...
I have french doors and one has the shoot bolt that goes up and the other goes down into the sill.
The builder drilled a hole in the header jamb for the bolt to go into but the hole is a bit too big and the door doesn't fit snug against the weather stripping.
I was looking for a metal "thimble" type of a cup that the shoot bolt rod can go into.
So far, all I found are cam style adjustable "shoot bolt keeps". That seems perfect. But they're all in the UK.
Are they under a different name here in the u.s.? I can't find any.

Do a search for "verticle door bolt". I'm not sure if that is the correct term, but it does find a lot of what you are talking about. You will see that most come with a plate rather than a sleeve as you show. You will also find a few with sleeves. I don't see any sleeves alone, but maybe you can screw a plate over the existing hole you have to adjust the door for a tighter fit.

Couldn't you glue a dowel in existing hole and redrill correct size. Roly

Roly,,,yes I could use a dowel. But that cam looking thimble thing seemed more sturdy and last longer

Use a piece of brass rod, epoxied in. Mark the stile location and drill in place.
