I'm looking for a plan for a table-top picture easel that appeared in WOOD magazine many years ago.  It was made of cherry and stood about 15 inches tall.  It had a tab that was glued between the front two legs that also served as the pivot point for the rear leg.  The easel part on the front was adjustable for height.

I've searched the website but didn't have any luck there. I don't want to pirate the plan; I have back issues, but can't find it.   Maybe someone here has a searchable index for WOOD magazine although that's probably unlikely given WOOD's proprietary nature.  Any help woiuld be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

I have their thumb drive, later today I'll try to give it a look.
I started with absolutely nothing. Now, thanks to years of hard work, careful planning, and perseverance, I find I still have most of it left.

Is this it? If so, it's in issue 167, December/January 2005/2006.

Fred,
Thanks for looking.  It will turn up when you're looking for something else.

Frank,
Thanks for checking but that's not the one.  I think it was actually older than those years.

This place is absolutely amazing.  I have always been impressed with connections in this group.  If I never find the plan I'm alwaysw happy to be in the company of the folks on WoodNet.

Well, I found the wood thumb drive files...I had them installed in a secret place on one of our computers (long story). I searched for picture frame, picture easel, photo stand, and table top stand. The only thing that came up was the one that Frank found from the winter '05/'06 issue. I couldn't thnk of any different search ter,ms that might have brought it up, but would be happy to try any other suggestions. My thumb drive stops in 2019, so it should have included what you wanted. Is it possible it was in another magazine?

Fred,
Thank you for your research efforts.  As to the possibility of it being in another magazine, at my age anything is possible.  It has to be 30 years or more since I built the original and my memory fails me sometimes.  Thank you again for your time.  I'm going to continue searching and I'll report back if I find it.

I have the thumb drive and looked and found the same one already posted. Any chance it was another magazine? I have American Woodworker magazines and Woodsmith that go back to the 90's.  No way for me to search without looking at each one.

Do you happen to have a picture of the first one you built?  Maybe it will spark some memories as to where it came from around here.
