My Dust Cobra is piped with 3" PVC. Works great but I needed an adapter. A little on line research turned up the concept of heating and resizing PVC. For a small change just heat and squeeze with a hose clamp. I wanted a little more so I sawed 4 straight / wedged slots and made a wooden plug to clamp to. Stood a piece of pipe on end in a pot of water and brought to a boil then slid in the plug and tightened the clamp. Came out great.

I once had all 6in sewer and drain pipe for my DC. Used a heat gun to bend all kinds of things and shrink them. Worked great just had to be careful of the fumes. The only problem was the ducting shocked me....esp the planer.
